When we conducted speed tests using WP-Engine, Web Synthesis, and Page.ly, both Web Synthesis and Page.ly tied for second place. We got really fast load times, in under two seconds on both the first load and cached load. The only real difference between the two is Web Synthesis does a better job when it comes to caching the content.
Pricing with Web Synthesis starts at $27/month. Just a few dollars more a month compared to Page.ly and you’ll get more features. Other tiers are priced at: $97, $147, and $300 a month for enterprise pricing.
Pricing with Page.ly starts are $24/month. While their price is cheaper, you don’t get as much for your money. The different tiers are also priced a bit differently and more expensive once you move away from the starter plan. Their other tiers are priced at $49, $149, and customized enterprise pricing.
Both companies have an expert staff of WordPress experts on hand, but our customer service experience was not as we expected when we reached out to Page.ly. For this reason, Web Synthesis takes this win.
Both platforms have roughly the same features: nightly backups, automatic updates, content caching, malware scanning, etc. Web Synthesis provides these features at a better price.
While both hosts provide a quality service to their customers, we gave Web Synthesis the overall win for the fact that their pricing is more affordable, and their customer service team provides a better response time.
