Managed WordPress FAQ
Can’t decide which managed WordPress web hosting plan to purchase? Here’s a closer look at Page.ly vs. Zippy Kid to help you decide.
When it comes to speed these hosts are closely matched. So closely matched, we couldn’t make a call one way or the other. Speed is an integral part of any managed WordPress host, and they both seek to improve your website’s loading time. Most sites can see load times of three seconds or less.
In terms of price, Page.ly has three set plans, with a custom price for enterprise level plans. You will pay: $24/month, $49/month, or $149/month for their three main plans. The less expensive plans come with fewer features.
Zippy kid has a $25/month plan, but any other plans for agencies or enterprises require contacting the company to learn more about pricing and features.
ZippyKid takes this one because of the features for the price.
Both services provide multiple ways to contact them in the event that you have a problem, and have a large staff of WordPress experts available. We’re giving Zippy Kid the award for this one because our experience with Page.ly was less than what we expected.
When it comes to features, both hosts offer automatic core updates and nightly backups. Page.ly includes a limited number of pro features, such as improved DNS, dedicated IP support and WordPress Multisite support for each of their plans. Only the DNS feature comes with the base plan, and if you want all 10 pro features, you’ll have to sign up for the enterprise pricing. ZippyKid includes additional features such as a dedicated IP, or additional site support for an additional $10/month/each. We’re giving this one to ZippyKid because of their feature that allows you to bring in additional developers when you need help.
Overall, both of these hosts provide a quality service you can count on, but it’s the additional features and value that pushes Zippy Kid to the top on this one.
